Re-engage New Hope

NH wants to make the best decisions for our church family, and in doing so here are things we have been working on to make sure we re-engage well. We have put our attention on extra cleaning measures, including a full deep cleaning of the auditorium and chairs, as well as treating commonly touched surfaces to ensure we are limiting the risk of spreading Covid-19. We are practicing social distancing, by spacing smaller groups of our auditorium chairs to accommodate individual families, or groups. Hand sanitizer will be placed near all entrances/exits for your convenience. mask are welcome, but not required.

FAQs

As we re-engage our in-person services, we recognize that opinions on how best to do this are all over the map. We’ve based our decisions for going forward on the following two New Hope Core Values:

People - We will love people fiercely and relentlessly especially when it is painful.

Even if you do not agree with some of the answers to questions below, please know that every decision is based in our passion to love God by loving people well.

Connect the Disconnected - We will do everything short of sin to bridge people to Jesus.

Jesus describes the church as a family. In a family, when a new baby is born, we do not ask them to sacrifice, we cater to them. The older more mature people must make accommodations for the new life. If you are a mature follower of Jesus, you know that sometimes we must make some sacrifices for the sake of others. Sometimes that means doing things you would not normally do so that others can find a way. This is one of those seasons.

Let’s start with the BIG question!

•            Are we open for in-person services?

Yes! We are currently offering two service times at 9 & 10:30 am. We will add services as needed.

•           What about NH Kids?

We offer classes for Newborn - 5th grade during the 9am service, and Newborn - 8th grade during the 10:30am service. Our goal is to give NH kids a safe and fun place to connect with Jesus! Visit the kids page for more details. We will continue online for NH Kids as well. If you bring your child to the auditorium, they will be able to use their devices to watch NH Kids online during the message (with earbuds or headphones of course). For more info, please contact our NH Kid’s Pastor: Natalie Tillett at Natalie@newhopechristian.org

•           What about NH Youth?

Here's what's happening for 6th-12th grade:

  • In-Person Gatherings: Every Wednesday at 7pm.
  • In-Person class for 6th-8th grade every Sunday at our 10:30am service only. Must register your 6th-8th grader for Sunday morning!
  • Please contact our Interim Youth Pastor: Jesse Watts at Jesse@newhopechristian.org

•            What if I am not comfortable coming to a service yet?

That is okay! We know everyone has a different level of comfort, so please do what you feel is best for you and your family—whether that is watching at home or joining us in-person. If you are looking for some fellowship while watching church but are not comfortable coming to a service just yet, we encourage you to host a Watch Party with friends or family! You can watch on Facebook HERE or YouTube HERE.

•           What about Social Distancing?

For in-person services we have chairs set up in smaller groups to accommodate your family.

•           Are Masks Required?

Masks are welcome, but not required.

•           How are the facilities being cleaned and prepared for services?

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available at entrances and exits throughout the building.
  • We have a newly remodeled restroom that is fresh and clean, with touch-free sinks.
  • Extensive cleaning and disinfecting procedures are taking place campus-wide.

•           What will the service be like?

All the things you’ve come to love in our weekend services will still be there—dynamic live worship, a great message with personal application, and friendly faces! If you need prayer, you can always email us at prayer@newhopechristian.org You will receive prayer as well as email follow up to see how you are doing.

•           Can I still give my tithes and offerings at the service?

Yes, there are boxes near both entrances to the auditorium or you can give online at www.newhopechristian.org/giving. You can also text "newhopechristian" to 45777, and follow the link.
