We Are Called to Engage the World

There are approximately 14 million aids orphans worldwide. 25,000 children die everyday from lack of nutrition. 27 million people are slaves and 2 million children are held in forced prostitution. God's heart is for people and for justice. In Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus made it clear that we are the ones empowered to bring his light to a world of darkness. We are the ones responsible to help those in need. There isn't another plan.
Ephesians 4:1 says that all of us are called by God... called to make a difference in the lives of people. One of the ways this happens is through what's known as the 7 spheres (mountains) of influence that shape culture: Arts/Entertainment - Business - Church - Education - Family - Media - Government. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a film maker, a CEO or a missionary to a foreign land, each of us has the opportunity to bring  the transforming love of God to the world around us. One of our passions is to release people to take their mountain.
One way New Hope is engaging the world is by partnering with organizations like Ten Thousand Homes in South Africa & CWAM in Wyoming. Through these communities, and more, we are able to join with others here and abroad who are fighting injustice, feeding the hungry, serving orphans and widows, connecting the spiritually-disconnected, and loving people right where they are.

Thailand Mission Trip - January 2024

In January of 2024 we will be taking a short term missionary group from New Hope to Chiang Mai, Thailand to partner with our friends Zach & Anneke Price and the Bella Goose organization. Their mission to create a place of belonging and lasting impact through community building, vocational training and transition programs. They educate, protect and empower vulnerable women, children and communities in Northern Thailand.

Bella Goose use their coffee shops in Northern Thailand to help employ, train and empower the community that they serve, all while spreading the word about Jesus.

If interested in heading to Thailand in January of 2024 email josh@newhopechristian.org for more info. We will be announcing this trip church wide very soon!

Ten Thousand Homes

Ordinary People Building Hope & Creating Homes for Africa's Orphans...
In sub-Saharan Africa, more than 34 million children are growing up as orphans. Of those, more than 11 million are kids who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Located in White River, South Africa, Ten Thousand Homes is providing more than just 4 walls for these orphans. They are creating “HOME” for these children by sponsoring community care centers, building houses, and providing a sense of belonging. Ten Thousand Homes brings “HOPE” by providing them with quality training, education, and economic opportunities.

Amazing Grace Food Pantry

Amazing Grace Food Pantry is exclusively a volunteer organization, relying upon the talent and generosity of community members to procure, sort and distribute over 60 TONS of food every month to Wylie area families.

This monumental undertaking is only possible due to the altruism and support received each and every week from people just like you.

  • Do you have some free time on your hands?
  • Do you enjoy helping those in need?
  • Do you want to give back in some way that really changes the quality of life for someone?

They welcome volunteer groups! If your Life Group, Youth Group or Friend Group would like to schedule a day to volunteer as a team building exercise, or to regularly adopt group-size tasks (e.g. yard work, improvements, cleanup, etc.), they’d love to hear from you!
