Our Purpose

Why We Exist As A Church:

The purpose of our church is summarized in a single statement, based on two key Scriptures:

"To live in a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and to express our love for Him through corporate worship, dynamic relationships, growing commitment, and effective evangelism."

Reaching Spiritual Seekers and Teaching them to be like Jesus.

Simply: Passion for Christ, Compassion for the world.

Matt 22:37-39 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Matt 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

To "Love God with all you heart" is WORSHIP.
To "Love your neighbor as yourself" is MINISTRY.
To "Go...make disciples" is EVANGELISM.
To "Baptize..." is to incorporate into COMMUNITY.
To "Teach them...all things" is DISCIPLESHIP.

New Hope should accomplish 5 things:

To CELEBRATE GOD'S PRESENCE WORSHIP
To DEMONSTRATE GOD'S LOVE MINISTRY
To COMMUNICATE GOD'S WORD EVANGELISM
To LOVE GOD'S FAMILY IS COMMUNITY
To EDUCATE GOD'S PEOPLE DISCIPLESHIP
